Preventative Care - The Art and Science of Healthy Smiles

Preventive dental care provides a general assessment of your overall oral health, which is essential to your well-being and quality of life. Regularly scheduled dental hygiene visits and oral exams which include cleaning, x-rays and other dental screenings will help you keep your teeth and gums as healthy as possible. Sometimes, with early diagnosis, we can detect and reverse the early effects of tooth decay thereby avoiding the need for a filling.

We recommended the standard advice and encourage you to brush your teeth at least twice a day, floss or clean between teeth at least once a day, and replace tooth brushes on a regular basis or as soon as they become worn. Maintaining a daily routine for your oral health plays a very important role in preventive dental care.

We now know that there are links between periodontal disease and systemic diseases such as heart problems and diabetes, during our preventive dental care process we will teach you proper dental home care so you can prevent the onset of health problems.
